Questions people ask

What is an SSB loan?

An SSB loan is a loan for a government employee in Zimbabwe that is repaid by deduction from their salary through the Salary Service Bureau. Because the instalment comes off your payslip, you never miss a payment.

How much can a civil servant borrow?

Up to $1,200, as long as the monthly instalment is no more than 33.33% of your net salary. The application form works out the most you can afford before you submit.

How long can I take to repay?

Anywhere from 1 to 24 months. A longer term means a smaller instalment.

What does it cost?

Interest, an administration fee, and a flat application fee of $10. Every figure is shown on the form before you submit, and the instalment you see is the instalment you pay.

Where do I find my EC number?

It is printed on your government payslip as your employee code. We need it to set up the salary deduction.

Can I apply if I already have a loan with Probfix?

Not until it is paid off. We lend one loan at a time so that your repayments stay affordable.

Ready to apply?
